

India’s Largest[1] International School, synonymous for imparting holistic education through true global standards for years together, today has announced its third Edition of Oakridge Junior Model United Nations on 8th& 9thof August 2015.

the objective of creating awareness among students about international policy
matters. Junior OakMUN© 2015 is the third edition of the extremely successful
conference for middle school students in 6th - 8th grades.
A simulation of the United Nations and its various bodies, Junior OakMUN aims
to engage middle school students in debate, negotiation, and deliberation
during the 2-day event. “
The Third Edition of
Oakridge JMUN 2015 will witness close to 300 students from various parts of the
country. Student delegates will discuss and debate topics like:

Illicit
small arms trade in and around the Middle East and Northern Africa
·
De-escalation
of tensions in the South China Sea
·
Optimizing
Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5 for Post 2015 Development Agendas
·
Address
the Issue of Child Soldiers
·
Melting
of the Polar Ice Caps and
·
Possible
steps towards mitigation and combating the spreading and actions of
Non-State
actors with special reference to ISIS.

are an excellent platform for students to develop their skills in persuasive debate
and their awareness on international policy matters. The opportunity also
exists to develop such skills as negotiation, lobbying, passing resolutionsare
