Pochampally IKAT Art Mela Begins In Visakhapatnam
'Pochampally IKAT art Mela 2015' a 7-day Handloom Products exhibition begins at Lions club of Visakhapatnam, waltaire main road, Ramnagar. The Mela organized by Pochampally Handloom Park, It will be on till 18th August 2015.
Alekhya Angel, Tollywood Actress inaugurated the Mela by lighting the traditional lamp,” It’s glad to see various apparel, particularly designer Fabrics, silk and cotton sarees, to be showcased for the Fashion Connoisseurs” she said.
“Handlooms are part of an age old Indian tradition- element of Indian culture and rich artistry, By promoting handlooms, we support the artisans and local community who have been passing on their skills for generations. Promoting creativity and originality, each design is a result of individual artisan’s creativity which is influenced by the local traditions and cultures” said Pochampally Handloom Park Ex Chairman -Krishna.
Ramya recites the National Anthem on Day 26 of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi
On Day 26 of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi, famous Sandalwood star Ramya recited the National Anthem ahead of two exciting clashes including the home team Bengaluru Bulls playing the defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers.
Ramya, who was also the youngest Member of Parliament (from the Mandya district in Karnataka) in 2013, was impressed at the increase in popularity of the sport of kabaddi from the introduction of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi.
